We would HIGHLY recommend having your wedding at Blue Hill Farm!! We had our wedding there this past October. From the immediate first call with Waldo, we were so impressed with Waldo’s attention to detail and warm personality, and the beautiful venue that he and Shirley have brought to life in Waterford. Waldo and Shirley were really helpful every step of the way. I never knew that planning a wedding could be so enjoyable and peaceful! Waldo and Shirley certainly were a big reason for that. There was not a single thing that went wrong on the day of our wedding: not a single detail was missed. (We highly recommend taking Waldo’s advice and getting the beautiful sail cloth tent.) The views were incredible - we received so many compliments on the views from every part of the venue. The walk from the front lawn cocktail hour to the bar, from the carriage house to the tent, from the tent even to the restrooms - everywhere you looked was an impeccable view. Right before dinner, Waldo even gave us (the bride and groom) a quick joy ride around the property so we could catch our breath and take it all in, before entering the dinner reception. My parents reserved all the rooms in the B&B which made things so convenient for them and my siblings who stayed the night. The actual house is equally gorgeous, and provided ample room for the bridal party to freshen up throughout the night. I loved the list of vendors that Waldo provided. We went with his catering recommendation and were just floored by their service! We highly recommend taking his advice on ideas. It was the best wedding we’ve ever been to, even better than we hoped for. Waldo and Shirley helped every part of our day really come to life. It’s been about a month since the wedding and our friends and family are STILL talking about Blue Hill Farm when we see them. One of our guests even painted us a gorgeous oil painting of the venue as a wedding gift! I think that response from guests really speaks for itself.

The Woodlea Garden Club enjoyed our end of year luncheon at your wonderful venue. The barn is decorated in such a delightful fashion and was unbelievability cool even though the temperature outside was horribly hot. Also, thank you for the use of your kitchen -very generous to share part of your house. The tour of the chickens and gardens were enjoyed by all! Thank you again for a fantastic event! Blue Hill Farm will forever hold an incredibly special place in our hearts. We were married there this past June and had a fabulous experience from start to finish. Waldo and Shirley are the venue owners and are extremely kind and hospitable - Blue Hill Farm is their home and they keep the property in beautiful condition! It felt as though we were getting married at our grandparents home (except that in this case the 'grandparents' are professional venue operators and know how to put on a spectacular day) as we opted to rent out the home for a few days leading up to the wedding. We also had a rather complex vision for how we wanted things to come together and Waldo and Shirley were incredibly accommodating, generous, and kind. They also have amazing connections to a bunch of vendors (from stage rentals to sailcloth tents) which added a layer of simplicity to planning as well! We would highly recommend Blue Hill Farm to anyone considering a beautiful venue.
